It was announced yesterday that Jordin Sparks and Katharine McPhee will each be performing at the 2008 Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular. Jordin will sing her current single, "One Step At a Time," while Katharine will sing a cover of The Drifters' "Save the Last Dance For Me."Both artists are keeping themselves busy this summer, as Jordin is currently on tour with Alicia Keys and Katharine is busy recording her sophomore album with David Foster while promoting her film The House Bunny, which hits theatres August 22. This is Jordin's second year in a row performing at the event, as she and fellow Season 6 alums Blake Lewis and Melinda Doolittle performed "God Bless America" at last year's event.
The live one-hour special will air at 9 p.m. ET on NBC on July 4. Other performers scheduled to entertain viewers are Natasha Bedingfield and Kenny Chesney.
