Season 3's Hawaiian surfing IHOP employee Camile Velasco has not seen success on a large scale since leaving the show in 2004, but she has been hard at work building a career in the entertainment industry. The Filipino-American placed ninth on her season, and suffered largely from nerves, which greatly diminished her chances of winning.After covering "Hangin' On" while signed to Universal/Mowtown Records, Camile performed at many west coast events. She left the record label in 2006, but continued to perform and even was featured in the Black Eyed Peas' video for their song "Bebot."
Camile posted a new song on her MySpace one week ago called "Open Up," which is possible a single from her upcoming debut album. She also has started a channel on YouTube called camileTV, and even covered Alicia Keys' "No One" in one of the webisodes, which can be viewed below.
Camile is one of my favortie Idols...Her CamileTV show on youtube is awesome. She's posting new videos every Friday and they're really good so far she's #17 most subscribed this month!
