The most recent edition of HITS Daily Double's Top 50 building album sales chart shows that there in fact was a boost experienced by Carrie Underwood's third studio album thanks to her big win at the ACM Awards.Carrie's Play On was up 50% in sales to 18k copies according to estimates, which signifies the size of the boost she received in the first full sales week since she won Entertainer of the Year at the ACMs two Sundays ago. On the chart side of things, it was up 16 spots to #21.
The only other Idol alum to be represented on the chart was Adam Lambert, as his For Your Entertainment tumbled #31-50 thanks to a 34% reduction in sales to 9.1k copies.
