Lee DeWyze doesn't know the U.S. borders Niagra Falls

In their last TV appearance before this week's two-night finale, Crystal Bowersox and Lee DeWyze appeared on Idol judge Ellen's talk show this morning to play a round of "Know or Go," which involves two audience members standing on platforms with trap doors that open if two guests incorrectly answer trivia questions.

This segment was almost as boring as the season itself until Lee was asked which country Niagra Falls borders besides Canada. What happened after that is below:



Alright, so there's pretty much no excuse for that. True, the question could have been phrased better, but whether or not Lee was nervous is beside the point, since he's had all season to ditch his nerves. The fact that he doesn't have a quality mental image of the North American continent is a little sad. For that reason alone, Lee shouldn't win on Wednesday. Harsh, but warranted.
