Sanjaya to release memoir, EP on Jan. 20

Sanjaya Malakar has not really been in the public eye since his starring role in Nationwide , but he will be making a comeback with a vengeance on Jan. 20. The sixth season's seventh-place finalist is dishing out his hardcover account of the Idol world, titled Dancing to the Music in My Head: Memoirs of the People's Idol. The book was penned with the help of Alan Goldsher.

At 256 pages, it seems the book would have to be documenting the 19-year-old's entire life. Unsurprisingly, the book's description on Amazon.com supports this assumption, as it says in part:

For the first time, the "People's Idol" talks about life before Randy, Simon, Paula and "Sanjayamania," and offers his devoted "Fanjayas" an intimate behind-the-scenes look at the blockbuster show.
Also on the same day, Idol fans will get a double dose of Sanjaya, as his 5-song EP

Memoirs of the People's Idol is now available to pre-order on Amazon for $13.59, while Dancing to the Music In My Head - EP is now available to pre-order for $4.95.

IDOL LIVE wishes Sanjaya the best, but this begs asking the question: is there really even enough interest anymore (the book is currently ranked #96,542 in all books on Amazon)?
