Katharine McPhee hit the Echo Park Community Garden in Los Angeles, Calif., last night to attend the premiere of Home, an online film by Yann Arthus-Bertrand that is centered around climate change and can be viewed on YouTube. She walked the "brick carpet" with husband Nick Cokas in tow.
In other Kat-related news, her record label's Web site has begun actively promoting her forthcoming sophomore album. Verve Music Group, the parent company of Kat's label, Verve Forecast, has placed an ad for her upcoming album on its site and has even created an artist section for her where visitors can become fans of Kat.

Kat is AskMen's 64th Top Woman of 2009
AskMen.com revealed its annual Top 99 Women countdown for its 2009 edition, and Katharine McPhee made the list for the second year in a row, this time coming in at #64 (last year she was #43). Below is the blurb that goes along with Kat's head shot, which is pictured to the right:
Tall and voluptuous with girl-down-the-block beauty, Katharine McPhee can raise our blood pressure without uttering a single note. Yet when she does sing, she soars, leading us to wonder whether she has normal vocal chords like the rest of us or if she has a booming pipe organ inside.So she's signed to a record label finally, eh AskMen? While that probably needs to be double checked, it's good to see Kat still getting recognized for her beauty despite the fact that she is now "off the market" courtesy of Nick Cokas.
Before the year was out, Katharine McPhee was signed to David Foster’s 143 Records label, meaning that her sophomore album may reach stores in the spring of 2009.
