Jordin to release "One Step At a Time" book in April

As if Jordin Sparks doesn't have enough on her plate with recording her new album and all, she apparently has put pen to paper on a new hardcover book titled "One Step At a Time," conveniently sharing a title with her platinum-selling third single.

The book, which will carry "a tremendous message of encouragement for the exciting-and sometimes fearful-new days ahead," is summarized in the following way:

This is a fresh, contemporary gift book perfect for young ladies who are about to take that huge step from home to college, or just out into the world, but also be very appropriate for all teenagers and young adults. Easily an evergreen gift for the major transitions of life-from a Sweet 16 gift from Mom, to a high school or college graduation sentiment from grandparents, to a pick-me-up from Dad. The inspirational text combines a foreword and short but powerful reflections from Jordin, the song lyrics, and other encouraging short-form writings woven throughout. Wrapped in a stunning, full-color package that includes snapshots from Jordin's journey blended into a vibrant and energetic gift book with great market appeal.

The book will be released Wed., April 1, to retailers nationwide. It is currently available to pre-order on Amazon.com for $10.87 and BooksChristian.com for $13.95. It will be released via Thomas Nelson Publishers.

Jordin's "One Step At a Time" video premieres

Jordin Sparks' video for her latest single, "One Step At a Time," premiered this afternoon on her YouTube channel. The premise of the video is fairly simple and fits the spring and upcoming summer months just right. At the conclusion of the video, Jordin holds up her palm to the camera, which reads "I love you Wendy," which is a message to the Sparks' family friend, who recently lost her battle with Stage 4 Melanoma.

The video will be embedded here as soon as an embeddable one becomes available.

UPDATE: Jordin has posted on IDF that the video was taken down due to some minor technical issues and will be reposted soon.
