In what had to be the most competitive round of IDOL LIVE's 2010 edition of the poll of the week champion series, Season 5's Kellie Pickler ruled her fellow sixth-place finalists.
Kellie nabbed 13 votes, or 35% of all 37 votes cast, compared with Season 7's Carly Smithson's 12 votes (32%) and the club's newest member, Siobhan Magnus of Season 9, at nine votes (24%). These three independent women were the only ones who really excited IDOL LIVE readers, and it's easy to see why when considering their not so popular comrades from the six other seasons.
In the next round, readers will be asked which 5th-place finalist is their favorite of all nine seasons. Voting will be open for exactly one week.

Poll of the week: Fans still pick Pickler
It was a spirited week of voting on IDOL LIVE's poll of the week champion series for the favorite sixth-place finalist of all eight seasons, and the competition broke the win streak of Season 7 finalists for the first time this voting period.
Leave it to Kellie Pickler and her faithful fans to stand in the way of Carly Smithson and her equally passionate fans. The fifth season's lovable country star netted 296 of the 582 total votes, which equated to 50%. In comparison, Carly was able to take in 267 votes (45%). The two were tied in the count with just one hour left to vote, which is when Kellie's fans eked out a win by fewer than 30 votes.
The poll's six other contenders failed to excite voters, as Anoop Desai only took in nine votes (1%), and Constantine Maroulis was only able to generate six votes (1%).
In the next installment of IDOL LIVE's poll of the week champion series, readers are asked which fifth-place finalist is their favorite of all eight seasons. Voting will be open for exactly one week.

Flashback: Carmen Rasmusen's "Call Me"
Carmen Rasmusen may not have been met with the same magnitude of a career in the country music realm like Carrie Underwood, but she similarly took on 80's rock back on her season of Idol when she performed "Call Me" by Blondie on Top 8 week for the Billboard #1 Hits theme. Watch the performance below:
Unlike Carrie, Carmen fell flat on her face with her attempt at the genre. In fact, Simon called it a combination of "dreadful" and "awful," which was still a big sting back in Season 2. Still, Carmen's performance remains one of the most memorable from her season.

Poll of the week: K-Lo shares 'One Love' with fans
In the second installment of the debut album champion poll series, Kimberley Locke emerged victorious among the six choices given to IDOL LIVE readers. Kimberley's debut album, One Love, received 24 votes, or 52% of the total vote.
In a surprising result, former Idol favorite Clay Aiken's debut album, Measure of a Man, came in second in the poll, much like he did on his own season. Man netted 14 votes (30%). Next up was Josh Gracin's self-titled album, which received four votes (8%).
The only album from an Idol alum to not receive a single vote for the poll was Corey Clark, which comes as no surprise.
In this week's poll of the week, readers will be asked to vote for their favorite debut album from a Season 3 alum. You have exactly one week to vote.
Soulful (Ruben Studdard) 2 (4%)
Measure of a Man (Clay Aiken) 14 (30%)

Carmen Rasmusen and husband expecting
After the hoopla of the past two weeks surrounding the 17 pregnant girls at Gloucester (Mass.) High School, is it comprehensible that a pact among Idol alums was made to get pregnant together? In an article published merely two days before Season 5's Paris Bennett admitted to being pregnant and engaged, Season 2's sixth-place finalist Carmen Rasmusen tells ReserveBranson.com that she and husband Brad Herbert are expecting a child due around Christmas Eve.
Carmen is currently starring in the "America's Favorite Finalists" show at The Grand Palace in Branson, Mo., with other alums Brandon Rogers (Season 6), Haley Scarnato (Season 6), RJ Helton (Season 1), Scott Savol (Season 4) and Vonzell Solomon.
Carmen told ReserveBranson.com that the most memorable aspect of being on Idol was the fact that she was a role model to many young girls:
“That has meant more to me than any amount of money or fame — to know that maybe I’ve influenced someone in the way that I’ve lived my life. Some people might say they don’t want to be in an example, but like it or not, we are in the spotlight. To me that’s the neatest thing,”
So which Idol alum will be the next to announce that she is with child? For the record, IDOL LIVE's money is on Juanita Barber.
