'Idol' Hot 100: "Live Like We're Dying" #23 (2/13/10)
Kicking things off with a three-spot jump to #23 was Kris Allen's "Live Like We're Dying." The track shows no signs of slowing down and should cross the Top 20 barrier sometime in the next two weeks.
Next up was "Already Gone" by Kelly Clarkson, which rose a similar three spots to #30 despite the decreased sales and airplay stats. Adam Lambert's "Whataya Want From Me" advanced #37-35, while Daughtry's "Life After You" moved ahead #57-51.
And Kellie Pickler's latest single "Didn't You Know How Much I Loved You" continued to languish on the Bubbling Under chart, moving ahead #4-3 this week.
The last two tracks on the Hot 100 were from Carrie Underwood. "Cowboy Casanova" was off six spots to #61 and "Temporary Home" jumped 12 spots to #70.

Digital sales roundup: "Live Like We're Dying" #22 (2/13/10)
Next up was Daughtry with "Life After You," up 6% to 34.3k. It was up 11 spots to #50 and has sold 340.2k in all. A big winner this week was Jennifer Hudson's charity track for the "Hope For Haiti Now" benefit CD, a collaboration with The Roots on "Let It Be." The song surged 80% to 25.3k, up 70 spots to #72 for a total of 40.9k after less than two weeks.
And Carrie Underwood's "Temporary Home" moved ahead on the chart six spots to #113 despite a 1% slide to 16.9k downloads. Its total is now 145.6k and will most likely see a nice bump thanks to the music video release.

IDOL LIVE Chat: "Best of the Rest" Auditions (2/3/10)
Tonight Idol's ninth season waves goodbye to the audition rounds (finally!) as the "best of the rest" auditions are shown. Obviously, this also means the "best of the worst" hopefuls will get more airtime, but hopefully the latter will be kept to a minimum.
The live chat will begin at 9 p.m. ET and will last one hour.
There is no guest judge tonight, as it does not take place in a new city, but we'll get to see pretty much every guest judge from the previous seven cities once again. Hopefully they choose to include more Shania Twain and Mary J. Blige than they do Joe Jonas.

Carrie Underwood's "Temporary Home" music video premieres
Carrie Underwood's much anticipated music video for her latest single "Temporary Home" premiered today on iTunes. The music video features clear cut story lines that are featured in the song's lyrics. Watch the video below:
The video is an absolute tearjerker, complete with a 30-second scene where Carrie plays a girl comforting her dying grandfather in the hospital. Her journey around the city in a taxi is complemented by segments where she sings in a winter theme. Pretty powerful stuff.

Poll of the week: Carrie Underwood favored for Grammys
In IDOL LIVE's special Grammy Award edition of the poll of the week, the majority of readers correctly predicted Carrie Underwood would have the best chance at taking home an award.
Carrie was the only Idol alum to take home a golden gramophone at last night's 52nd annual awards ceremony, although she arguably had the least competition to contend with in the "Best Country Collaboration With Vocals" category. 58% of those polled went with Carrie, while 41% sided with Kelly Clarkson, whose fourth album All I Ever Wanted lost out to The Black Eyed Peas' latest release in the "Best Pop Vocal Album."
In the next edition of the poll of the week, readers as asked who they think should replace Simon Cowell as the fourth judge on Idol following his departure at the end of the current season. Voting will be open until next Wednesday (Feb. 10).

'Idol' BB 200: 'For Your Entertainment' #21 (2/6/10)
This means Carrie Underwood's Play On fell back a few spots (eight to be exact) to #24 after sliding 18% in sales to 17.7k copies for a 1.245 million total. Carrie's first album is still hanging on the lower part of the chart, as Some Hearts was down 7% to 2.9k copies, off #186-198, for a total of 6.925 million.
Up next was Daughtry's sophomore effort, Leave This Town, was down one spot to #54 after selling 8.6k copies. It was actually up 1% and boasts a 907.2k cume. The band's previous release was also up in both sales (6%) and chart rank (#184-175), posting a 3.2k copies for a 4.623 million total.
Kris Allen's Kris Allen took a 14% tumble to 5.3k copies for a 244.8k total. On the chart side it was off 17 spots to #101. And Kelly Clarkson's All I Ever Wanted declined 6% sales-wise to 3.2k copies for a 825.5k total. It was down 10 spots to #179.

Flashback: Leslie Hunt's "Feeling Good"
Idol's sixth season was not known so much for its talent during the semifinals, but a few contestants managed to prove they were worthy of their spots in the competition. While Leslie Hunt did her best to stand out from the crowd, it seemed her decision to scat at the end of her "Feeling Good" performance during Top 16 week might have been a bit of a mistake. Watch the performance below:
Although her vocals weren't amazing on the song, they weren't horrible, either, so the sloppily tacked-on scatting session might have turned some fans off. Ironically, Leslie's fellow semifinalist AJ Tabaldo was also eliminated on the same night following his take on the Nina Simone classic. Leslie's example will forever be a reminder to contestants to "scat wisely."
