Don't make Melinda hit you with her pocketbook

Melinda Doolittle had to fend off Michael W. Smith and George Huff among others from stealing the flowers she received from her fan base (the Backups) while on Smith's Christmas tour. Melinda played the role of the "defensive" recipient and lip-synched to Jennifer Hudson's "Pocketbook." Watch the skit below:

The tour was stopped in Portland, Ore., at the time of filming. Melinda's official Web site is now up and running and her single "It's Your Love" is now on iTunes. Her debut album Coming Back to You will be out Feb. 3, 2009.
