'Idol' racks up TCA nominations

It's summertime, which means the third-most pointless awards show is upon us - FOX's Teen Choice Awards. And it would be laughable if the network didn't throw a few bones to its most popular show. So that leaves the Idol/Nigel Lythgoe umbrella with a total of 12 nominations for the 2008 awards show, counting a few for related shows like Next Great American Band and Randy Jackson's America's Best Dance Crew. The show will be hosted by Miley Cyrus and will be broadcast on FOX on Mon., Aug. 4 at 8 p.m. ET. All Idol-related nominations are listed below.
