Keeping up with Will Makar

Upon finishing in the Top 16 on the fifth season of Idol, Will Makar of The Woodlands, Tex., went on to make the most of his limited time on the show. In 2006, Will signed a record deal with independent record label Double Deal Brand Records, and began work on his debut album. After beginning it more than one year ago, Will's debut single, "I Won't Make It Out," was released to digital retailers in March 2007 and can be streamed on his official music MySpace page.

His debut self-titled EP was released to Amazon MP3 on May 27, 2008, and will be added to iTunes shortly. It features five tracks, many of which Will wrote or co-wrote, including "I Wonder" and "For You."

Will has also made many local appearances since being eliminated from Idol, including singing "The Star-Spangled Banner" with the Houston Symphony Orchestra on July 4, 2006, and at the Lyndon Baines Johnson Moral Courage Award Dinner sponsored by Holocaust Museum Houston on May 12, 2008.
