HITS estimates: 'Play On' #19 w/ 32.9k

It was a very mellow sight for Idol alums on the first edition of HITS Daily Double's Top 50 building album sales chart in the new decade.

Carrie Underwood took the top spot for the franchise by default because her album, Play On, consistently led throughout the holiday season. This week it came in at #19 and reeled in 32.9k copies, but there is no sales data from last week to compare these figures to due to HDD's break for New Year's.

The only other album by an alum to appear in the Top 50 was Adam Lambert's For Your Entertainment, which sold an additional 16.5k copies and landed at #34.
