Needless to say, Kanye has lost a lot of respect from people in all sectors of the music industry after tonight's events. And for good reason.

Keeping up with Cardin McKinney

Cardin McKinney was an early favorite to make the Top 24 before the seventh season of American Idol even premiered, but she just missed out on passing the milestone. Instead, the final spot in the Top 12 girls went to Joanne Borgella, who was one of two girls eliminated last week. Below is her audition from Atlanta:

Since audiences learned of McKinney's failure to make the Top 24, she has been busy responding to fans on her MySpace, and compiled a Q&A session in which she answers fans' questions. Below is one question-answer set from her blog:

1. If you could sing a duet with ANYONE, who would it be and why?
- Oh dear. Toughie. I'd say, as far as modern-day artists go, I'd def. die to do a thang with Brian McKnight, Stevie Wonder, Johnny Lang or Fiona Apple.. Because a duet means a collaboration of forces, and that means a co-write experience. And that! That would be something fierce!! :)
Fans can also join her fan site: Cardin-McKinney.org.
