At least in her blog she does. In a post dedicated solely to calling out Kanye West for his extremely unbecoming actions following Taylor Swift's win in the "Best Female Video" category for her "You Belong with Me" music video at Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards, Kelly Clarkson totally ripped the over-inflated, egocentric rapper on her personal blog. Although the whole post deserves to be placed below, here is a snippet:I’ve seen you do some pretty shitty things, but you just keep amazing me with your tactless, asshole ways. It’s absolutely fascinating how much I don’t like you. I like everyone. I even like my asshole ex that cheated on me over you…which is pretty odd since I don’t even personally know you. The best part of this evening is that you weren’t even up for THIS award and yet you still have a problem with the outcome. Is winning a moon man that much of a life goal?? You can have mine if it will shut you up. Is it that important, really??
Wow, Kelly is so awesome and she doesn't even know it (or maybe she just has a ton more tact and class than Kanye will ever have). Congrats Kelly on the most interesting and candid blog you have ever posted.

Alums tweet their thoughts on Kanye-Swiftgate
So by now everyone has seen or at least hard about the drama that went down onstage between Taylor Swift and Kanye West at MTV's Video Music Awards this evening. Obviously, Idol alums had no shortage of opinions on the matter on Twitter. Below is a sampling of what some had to say:LaBelleMusikKanye whaaaattttt! Omg. My heart just fell for that poor girl. He just killer her dream & whole moment. Wow. That was horrible. So wrong! :( about 2 hours ago from UberTwitter
Needless to say, Kanye has lost a lot of respect from people in all sectors of the music industry after tonight's events. And for good reason.

Jordin dropped by 19E
File this under things no one saw coming. According to HITS Daily Double's rumor mill, Jordin Sparks has reportedly been dropped by 19E management. Per HITS' site:
THE SPARKS ARE GONE: Simon Fuller's 19 Entertainment has terminated its management relationship with Jordin Sparks. The 19 Recordings label will continue as Jordin’s record company with its joint venture partner, Jive Records. (11/20p)So let's get this straight...Jordin's album is 50k copies away from going platinum, an album which, by the way, has spawned two Top 10 singles and another Top 20 single, has been nominated for an American Music award, two People's Choice awards, nominated for two MTV Video Music awards, four Teen Choice awards (winning one of them) and a few BET awards, launched her own clothing line and has contributed to many charitable causes, and that still isn't good enough?
So far there has been no comment released from Jordin's camp, so it will be interesting to hear their side of the story. It's also important to keep in mind this does not mean Jive Records has dropped her, she is still signed with them. This is just management, but still it's a bit surprising.

VMA wrap-up: Jordin steals the spotlight
Although she went home empty-handed Sunday at MTV's 25th annual Video Music Awards, Jordin Sparks shook up the scene at the Paramount Pictures lot with her heat of the moment defense of the Jonas Brothers after their decision to wear purity rings was mocked by host Russell Brand (who?) in his opening monologue.
Jordin was so upset by his remarks that she had to give her two cents when it was her turn to introduce T.I. alongside John Legend. Watch her response below:
The comeback has been receiving a lot of press and online buzz, mostly positive. On the awards front, Jordin's video for "No Air" lost out to Tokio Hotel's "Ready, Set, Go!" for Best New Artist and Britney Spears' "Piece of Me" for Best Female Video. Maybe next year, but it's not like it's a Grammy or anything.

VMA update: VotY is "No Air"-less
Although it seemed like a sure thing, the video for "No Air" did not make the final cut for the most coveted Video of the Year category for the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards. Jordin Sparks' duet with Chris Brown was slighted in order to make room for such "masterpieces" as Britney Spears' "Piece of Me" and The Pussycat Dolls' "When I Grow Up."
Despite the non-nomination, "No Air" is still up for Best New Artist and Best Female Video, and is surprisingly the only Idol-related video on the ballot for the awards show.
The VMAs will air live on Sept. 7, 2008, at 9 p.m. on MTV. It will be hosted by Russell Brand.

VMA update: Video of the Year now open
Since neither Paula Abdul nor Katharine McPhee made the final nomination roster for the Best Dancing in a Video category, it was Jordin Sparks who was the sole Idol alum to receive a nomination for a category last week. Jordin was nominated for Best New Artist for her video for "No Air." In that category, Jordin must deal with Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry among others.
But the most important category for all - Video of the Year - is now up for voting on narrowing down the nominees. On the list are Jordin ("No Air," "One Step At a Time"), Paula ("Dance Like There's No Tomorrow"), Katharine ("Love Story"), Blake Lewis ("Break Anotha"), Carrie Underwood ("Last Name"), Daughtry ("Feels Like Tonight," "Over You"), Elliott Yamin ("One Word") and Jennifer Hudson ("Spotlight"). Strangely enough, none of Daughtry's videos are nominated for Best Rock Video, which is also now open voting.
Voting for the category ends on Wed., Aug. 13, with the final nominees being revealed on Fri., Aug. 15. The VMAs will air live on Sept. 7, 2008, at 9 p.m. on MTV.

VMA update: Best Dancing, BNA categories now open
In a surprising twist of events, no Idol alum - not even Jordin Sparks - made the cut in the Best Pop Video category, which finished winnowing its nominees on Wednesday. The video seemed almost a lock for a nomination, but it unexpectedly fell victim to videos by Danity Kane and Tokio Hotel among others.
There are two more categories open to fans voting for nominations, however, and both feature videos by alums that have a shot at nominations. For the Best Dancing in a Video category, Katharine McPhee's "Love Story" and Paula Abdul's "Dance Like There's No Tomorrow" are both (long shot) contenders. But for the Best New Artist category, Jordin looks to have a good shot at a nomination, represented by her videos for "No Air" and "One Step At a Time." Blake Lewis is also on the ballot and is represented by his video for "Break Anotha."
Voting for the categories ends on Wed., Aug. 6, with the final nominees being revealed on Fri., Aug. 8. The VMAs will air live on Sept. 7, 2008, at 9 p.m. on MTV.

VMA update: Pop Video category now open
The doors have closed on voting for the Best Male and Female Video categories, but have opened on voting for the Best Pop Video category for the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards. The only Idol-related video that made it to the final ballot in the two former categories was Jordin Sparks' "No Air," which is competing against "Piece of Me" (Britney Spears), "I Kissed a Girl" (Katy Perry), "Touch My Body" (Mariah Carey) and "Take a Bow" (Rihanna) for Best Female Video.
As for Best Pop Video, the only Idol-related video open for voting that actually has a shot at notching a nomination is also "No Air," which looks like a lock for a final nomination due to the fact that it has the most views of all videos up for voting. Other videos from Idol alums up for consideration in the saturated category are Katharine McPhee's "Love Story," Paula Abdul's "Dance Like There's No Tomorrow," Carrie Underwood's "Last Name," Jordin's "One Step At a Time," Blake Lewis' "Break Anotha," Jennifer Hudson's "Spotlight" and Elliott Yamin's "One Word."
Voting for the category ends on Wed., July 30, with the final nominees being revealed on Fri., Aug. 1. The VMAs will air live on Sept. 7, 2008, at 9 p.m. on MTV.

Idols have shot at VMA nominations
The 2008 MTV Video Music Awards are still six weeks away, but two categories are now open to the general public to vote for their favorite artists and their videos - Best Female Video and Best Male Video. Some of the more surprising entries to choose from include Jennifer Hudson, whose video for "Spotlight" just came out weeks ago, and Paula Abdul, who really does not deserve anything for her video of "Dance Like There's No Tomorrow." Below are all of the Idol-related nominees and their videos. The rest of the categories' nominees will be announced sometime over the course of the next month.
Best Female Video
Carrie Underwood, "Last Name"
Jennifer Hudson, "Spotlight"
Jordin Sparks, "No Air" / "One Step At a Time"
Katharine McPhee, "Love Story"
Paula Abdul, "Dance Like There's No Tomorrow"
Best Male Video
Blake Lewis, "Break Anotha"
The VMAs will air live on MTV on Sun., Sept. 7 at 9 p.m. ET.
