In addition to getting her fans to "put their hands up," Jennifer spoke briefly with Today co-host Matt Lauer about her tour with Robin Thicke and got a little testy when Lauer brought up her Essence Magazine cover story that addresses her family tragedy, as she said she's moved past talking about it.

Jennifer also performed "Spotlight," during which she got Al Roker to dance while snapping photos.

Another Idol alum turned country star, Kellie Pickler, had her latest single make an appearance on the Hot 100, as it entered at the halfway point of #50. And then Jennifer Hudson's single "If This Isn't Love" also rose one spot to #86.

'Idol' Hot 100: "My Life Would Suck Without You" #7 (4/11/09)

It was a typical week on Billboard's Hot 100 chart in the Idol world, as three alums were represented on the main chart and a fourth had a showing on the Bubbling Under portion of the chart for the chart week of April 11.

Kelly Clarkson began things with "My Life Would Suck Without You" coming in at #7, down one spot from the previous week. Since its debut at #97 on the Hot 100, the single has not spent a single week outside the Top 10.

Following Kelly was Carrie Underwood, whose "I Told You So" fell out of the Top 10 and beyond thanks to the Idol bounce being deflated. It fell #9-25 for the week. Jennifer Hudson was next with "If This Isn't Love," which slipped three spots to #91 despite performing the song last week on Ellen.

And then there's Kelly Pickler, whose lastest single "Best Days of Your Life" is slowly gaining momentum following the release of her music video for the song. It debuted on the Bubbling Under chart at #11 but will likely fall out of the chart by next week (or at least fall to its lower rungs).

Jennifer performs "If This Isn't Love" on 'Ellen'

Jennifer Hudson finally made her much-ballyhooed appearance on Ellen today to perform her current single "If This Isn't Love." Watch the performance (and try not to be distracted by her bright orange top) below:

The performance lived up to the hype, so the performance she is taping after tonight's results show will have to surpass it because a few million more people will be seeing that than this one.

Jennifer also sat down with Ellen to chat about random things, received a bike from Ellen as an engagement gift and took part in Ellen's "singing in the bathroom" segment where the two of them sang "And I Am Telling You (I'm Not Going)." All in a day's work for J-Hud.

'Idol' Hot 100: "My Life Would Suck Without You" #6 (4/4/09)

Despite facing her toughest competition in a long time, Kelly Clarkson was able to hold onto her billing as top Idol alum with representation on Billboard's Hot 100 chart for the chart week of April 4.

Kelly's "My Life Would Suck Without You" slipped just one spot to #6, showing that it has longevity more than instant success. Just behind Kelly was another winner, Carrie Underwood, as her latest single "I Told You So" marched up the chart #57-9 thanks to the release of the song as a duet with original artist Randy Travis (not to mention a performance of the song on last week's results show.

And then there was Jennifer Hudson's "If This Isn't Love," which fell four spots to #88 despite retaining its bullet. Look for the single to progress back up the chart next week thanks to gains in airplay and a performance on Ellen that will air today.

'Idol' Hot 100: "My Life Would Suck Without You" #9 (3/21/09)

A tiny decrease in sales and a huge increase in airplay combined to keep Kelly Clarksons' "My Life Would Suck Without You" in the Top 10 of Billboard's Hot 100 chart for the chart week of March 21.

The song, which rose one spot to #9, will most likely see an even larger jump next week thanks to her album's release and a healthy plateful of promotional appearances this week.

Also advancing this week was Carrie Underwood's latest single "I Told You So," which rose #68-62. Expect one more week of modest gains until it skyrockets two weeks from now thanks to a performance on Idol and the release of the single as a duet with Randy Travis, slated for this coming Tuesday.

The last Idol-related chart entry to be revealed this week was Jennifer Hudson's "If This Isn't Love," which rose seven spots to #85.
