'Idol' Thanksgiving wrap-up

Since you were most likely hanging out with family and friends yesterday and by now the tryptophan has most likely been drained from your system, take some time to catch up on some busy Idol appearances made on TV yesterday. If you already watched these performances sometime during turkey day, take some time to relive them right now.

Katharine McPhee kicked off Thanksgiving by performing in Macy's 83rd annual Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City, which was broadcast live on NBC. Watch her perform "Had It All" on the Jimmy Dean float below:

Another famous alum turned up at the Dallas Cowboys / Oakland Raiders NFL football game, as Daughtry provided halftime entertainment during the Salvation Army Halftime Show. The band performed three songs including new single "Life After You." Watch the show below:

And then later in the night two alums made appearances on FOX's Kaleidescope ice show, which combines Christmas music with figure skating performances in an effort to raise awareness about cancer. The special featured David Archuleta and Katharine, and was taped last week. Watch David's performance of "Silent Night" below:

Katharine performed "I'll Be Home For Christmas," which is now available to purchase on iTunes. Watch her performance below:

The show, which was co-hosted by Idol friend and producer David Foster and Kristi Yamaguchi, also featured cancer survivor Olivia Newton John.

And of course, Carrie Underwood's much hyped performance of "Change" on CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute aired last night. Watch the moving performance below:

So now that you've got caught up with all the Idol you missed yesterday, be sure to head out to the stores (if you haven't done so yet) to kick off the holiday shopping season and pick up some albums from alums. You know you want to...
