Digital sales roundup: "Live Like We're Dying" #28 (1/2/10)

Ahead of what will surely be a digital sales week to remember, Idol alums saw their tracks receive mini-boosts according to the most recent edition of Billboard's Hot Digital Songs chart.

Once again it was Kris Allen whose single led the franchise representation, as "Live Like We're Dying" totaled 40.4k downloads as a result of a healthy 14% sales incline. It held steady at #28 and now boasts a total of 290.2k.

Kelly Clarkson followed with "Already Gone," which advanced five spots to #29 on the heels of an 18% sales uptick to 38.6k. Its total stands at 918.3k, meaning it's almost guaranteed the hit single will be platinum before 2009 comes to a close.

And Carrie Underwood's "Cowboy Casanova" saw its first sales increase in a few weeks, as it inched ahead 3% to 32.8k downloads for a total of 708.8k. It held steady at #36 in the chart rankings.
