'Idol' Hot 100: "Already Gone" #14 (12/12/09)

There was a tiny bit of positive movement and a lot of backward movement among singles from Idol alums on Billboard's Hot 100 chart for the chart week of Dec. 12.

The highlight of the chart was without a doubt the continuing success story that is "Already Gone." The surprise Kelly Clarkson track was up two spots to #14, marking the highest position the song has charted at to date.

Next up was Carrie Underwood's "Cowboy Casanova," which fell back one spot to #24. Kris Allen's "Live Like We're Dying" followed at #47, down six spots from the previous week thanks to a decrease in sales. And Adam Lambert's misfired single "For Your Entertainment" made it back onto the chart at #61 this week, but will most likely fall back off come next week.

Adam was also represented by his new single "Whataya Want From Me," which came in at #22 on the Bubbling Under chart. Also making an appearance on the chart was Daughtry's "Life After You," which debuted at #3 on the heels of the band's performance at the 2009 American Music Awards.
