Keeping up with Kimberley Locke

Kimberley Locke, the second season second runner-up, has been actively promoting her sophomore album, Based on a True Story. Fresh off an appearance on Idol two weeks ago, Kimberley is next set to test her skills at remembering lyrics on FOX's Don't Forget the Lyrics!, hosted by Wayne Brady. She will appear on the episode that airs Thurs., April 17, at 9:00 p.m. ET.

To date, Story has sold less than 20,000 copies, a far cry from the 212,000 copies 2004's One Love moved. Despite the lackluster sales, Kimberley's singles continue to receive a good amount of airplay.

Kimberley currently has a Top 20 hit at Adult Contemporary radio in "Fall," which she performed on Idol. Two previous singles from the album went Top 10, including "Change" (#6) and "Band of Gold" (#9).

In 2007, Kimberley appeared as one of the contestants on VH1's Celebrity Fit Club, on which she developed a confrontational relationship with former child star Dustin Diamond. She was able to lose a total of 40 lbs from the show and a subsequent diet on Jenny Craig.
