"The Time of My Life" now #1 song on iTunes

After being released on the iTunes music store for merely a few hours, David Cook's winner's single "The Time of My Life" is already sitting atop the store's Top 100 chart. This is the fastest a winner's single has taken to get to the top, and the first one to hit #1 since Taylor Hicks' "Do I Make You Proud" reached the pinnacle in 2006 (Jordin Sparks' "This Is My Now" peaked at #2 last May).

Cook's three performances from Tuesday night are also sitting at #8 ("I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For"), #9 ("The World I Know") and #10 ("Dream Big").
