David Archuleta lends vocals to "Somos el Mundo"

Although he was not included among the 80+ artists that leant their vocals to the 25th anniversary remake of "We Are the World," David Archuleta was recruited to sing on the Spanish language version "Somos el Mundo." Per a blog post from Arch yesterday:

Being at the Somos El Mundo recording yesterday was my first time being around and meeting so many Latin artists. I was pretty nervous with the interviews and being new to that crowd, but it was really fun at the same time and a lot of really nice people. It was good to see PeeWee there, and Ednita Nazario was incredibly nice! Jon Secada, Cristian Castro, Ricardo Montaner, Chayanne, Thalia, and Luis Fonsi were some of the people there. I was like in shock and thought I was going to pass out when I met Luis Fonsi lol.
As he mentioned in his blog post, Arch spoke with the Spanish language media while at the event on the red carpet:

The music video for "Somos El Mundo" will premiere on Univision's talk show Cristina on Mon., March 1. The single will available to purchase on iTunes, with all proceeds going to the Haiti effort.
