Digital sales roundup: "Battlefield" #21 (6/19/09)

Once again, Jordin Sparks was the Idol queen of the Billboard Hot Digital Songs chart with her single "Battlefield," which saw a nice advance from the previous week.

"Battlefield" increased in sales by 41% to 54.6k, which launched it forward by 10 spots to #21. It has now sold 240.6k downloads since being released. Also seeing a healthy dose of positive movement on this week's chart was Kellie Pickler's single "Best Days of Your Life," which sold 38.4k and was up #37-35. The single, which was up in sales by a 15% margin, has now officially gone gold with 513.5k sold to date.

Up next was Daughtry's single, "No Surprise," which similarly experienced a 15% uptick in sales to 36.8k downloads. The song was also up two spots to #38 and has now received 336.3k legal downloads. Although Kelly Clarkson's single, "I Do Not Hook Up," sold a comparable 36.6k downloads, it was actually down 5% in sales and seven spots in the rankings to #39. It has sold 444.5k to date and should go gold in the next few weeks.

And David Cook's "Come Back to Me" rounded out the Idol representation at #91, down four spots from the previous week, selling 17.8k downloads. Up 4% from the previous week, the seventh season's winner's single has now sold 215.7k in all.
