Jordin Sparks' "Battlefield" video leaks

As expected, Jordin Sparks' new music video for her current single, "Battlefield," leaked yesterday courtesy of tudou.com. See a rough version of the video below:



The first half of the video is rather uneventful, although the use of white and black for Jordin's dresses are symbolic. But once she goes into her battle position on the catchy and ear-grabbing "guess you better go and get your armor" line, the whole theme of the video changes and the corporation of the smoke and colors at night give it a feeling of excitement. Add to it the fact that she looks more mature than in her past videos, and we have a recipe for a hit depending on whether or not the song can get its act together at radio and on the sales chart.

The music video was slated to (and will still) officially premiere on MTV later today.
