'Idol' Hot 100: "Cowboy Casanova" #14 (10/17/09)

Another Idol-related track found its way onto Billboard's Hot 100 chart for the chart week of Oct. 17 after debuting on the Bubbling Under chart last week.

First off, Carrie Underwood's new single "Cowboy Casanova" slid only three spots to #14 despite a heavy sales fall. The country track was followed by Kelly Clarkson's ballad "Already Gone," which was actually up four spots thanks to solid airplay gains.

A third winner's single came in next, as Jordin Sparks' "Battlefield" fell #25-35, and Daughtry's "No Surprise" was down seven spots to #41.

And Kris Allen's new single "Live Like We're Dying" was last on the chart thanks to a debut at #89. Had it been released the Tuesday before last instead of two Fridays ago, chances are it would have debuted a couple ticks higher.
