Poll of the week: Cook is undisputed champ

In a poll of the week that was set up to be a battle of the ages amongst the 12 most admired Idol finalists of all seven seasons in the eyes of IDOL LIVE readers, one fan base surely did not disappoint. Just days into the voting, the two-week competition was proving to be promising as David Archuleta and David Cook were neck and neck with 48% of the vote on Aug. 30. But things quickly deteriorated for the Arch Angels, most likely because of a slew of competitive polls that were preoccupying them. But that's no excuse for completely giving up on the poll, and the Word Nerds were able to capitalize. It's not like they were the only ones that had access to the MOAB or robo-voting.

As for the poll's results, the numbers tell the story. Cook garnered a gargantuan sum of 105,019 votes, good for 82% of the total take. Arch on the other hand was only able manage 22,075 votes, or 17% of the total vote. Of the poll's 10 other finalists none were able to manage 100 votes, although Chris Daughtry came close with 97. There were even two finalists who failed to muster a single vote over the entire two weeks - Stephanie Edwards and Melissa McGhee - which begs the question of how they got to the champion poll in the first place.

Despite the lopsided result, the total of votes was the most impressive tally to date for an IDOL LIVE poll of the week, especially compared to the previous poll's total of 12 votes. For all the milestones achieved from this poll, IDOL LIVE would like to say...way to go D-C.org! And thanks to the Arch fans that also gave the poll a shot.

Moving on, for this week's poll of the week we ask readers to vote for their choice of a fourth judge if they could have picked anyone other than Kara DioGuardi to add as a fourth judge from the selection of eight different females from the music industry. You have exactly one week to vote.

David Cook 105,019 (82%)
David Archuleta 22,075 (17%)
Elliott Yamin 57 (0%)
Chris Daughtry 97 (0%)
Brooke White 6 (0%)
Kellie Pickler 26 (0%)
Kristy Lee Cook 18 (0%)
Haley Scarnato 1 (0%)
Chikezie 5 (0%)
Stephanie Edwards 0 (0%)
Melissa McGhee 0 (0%)

Total votes: 127,304 (IDOL LIVE record)

It's because the Word Nerds are kind of bored waiting for their guy to release something other than The Magic Rainbow (which I heard should happen by the end of the month or early next month). Archie's fans spend their time actually tracking his song "Crush," requesting it, listening to his radio interviews about it, watching his leaked video, discussing his leaked video, discussing why the leaked video got pulled, capping his leaked video, keeping track of which nightly radio countdowns "Crush" is on, etc. Much more fun than spam voting.

I am a David Archuleta fan but also like David Cook. I chose NOT to vote because the AI competition is over and polls like yours can fuel the fire between the fan bases. What's the purpose???

The David's consider each other like brothers and are supportive of each other's work. Let it be!!! Both David's have a strong and enthusiastic fan base.

I do believe polls that allow robo-voting definately skew the actual results and end up being pointless!!!!

First, Archies and Arch Angels are not supposed to do things David would not approve on his behalf. I don´t even know what is “MOAB or robo-voting”. I think it is some trick, but I don´t know how it works.
Second, as we have many other polls to vote, we had to make certain choices, like the Teen Choice Awards Post Show (which Cook didn´t win, because you can´t trick that one! lol). That award is registered in the Wiki, this poll from 'Idol live' doesn´t, so… Besides, as said Bee, we also have to spend our time tracking David´s song "Crush," requesting it, voting for the song and video, listening to his radio interviews, reading all the press news about Archie, watching his leaked video, discussing his leaked video, discussing why the leaked video got pulled, capping his leaked video, keeping track of which nightly radio countdowns "Crush" is on, etc. It´s been pretty entertaining and a proud be an Archie fan, and, again, as said Bee, much more fun than spam voting. And we knew David Cook´s hardcore fans had tricked the poll, then why bother?

I heard Cook´s fans were voting at TCA Award 'Post Show' poll AGAINST Archie, but Archie won in his cathegory AND Cook didn´t won his, because, of course, as I said previously, that poll can´t be tricked! If it could, Cook certainly had won!!!
Apparently Cook´s Shiite fans decided they have to vote AGAINST Archie forever and ever, because they are massively voting at Pop Eater poll about Archie´s “Crush” video, by using their crooked voting system on the option “not a fan”!
Pop Eater certainly doesn´t have such number of readers –and specially such number of “non-Archie-fan” readers– which shows clearly the suspicious activities of Cook´s Shiite fans! It´s crystal clear!!! Cook should be NOT proud of his mad fans, specially when we all know Cook say he is Archie´s good friend! Poor guy, having such fans, he doesn´t even need enemies at all!

nonsense argument!!people like you could do faction between both david fans..you don't even know how many fans David A. and David C have.. i dislike people keep arguing over stupid polls, leave it okay,!the two have different genre, there are people hate the way david c done his music and it happens to be david A fans and vice versa.
to GYS are you a 100% sure that TCA don't have tricks on voting..i assure you, even you can vote as many as you like, or done multiple account just to gain many votes..try it!
in addition, if you want to prove who deserves to win.keep tracking thier album sales okay!!!
