Digital sales roundup: "My Life Would Suck Without You" #8 (2/27/09)

The addition of two Idol-related tracks spruced up Billboard's Hot Digital Songs chart for the week in anticipation of spring, with a Season 7 alum finally representing once again.

Kelly Clarkson's "My Life Would Suck Without You" continued to display its dominance, as it only slid 17% to 103.8k for a total of 1.045 million tracks sold, marking an official platinum milestone. It also only managed to fall one spot to #8, marking another week inside the Top 10.

The emergence of Brooke White's debut post-Idol single, "Hold Up My Heart," added life to the somewhat stale chart, as it posted an opening week of 51.2k downloads. Its landing at #27 was another nice bonus for Brooke, who should see the song tumble drastically come next week.

On the country side, Carrie Underwood's "I Told You So" continued to inch forward #178-144, climbing by 11.3k downloads (17%) for the week. Its total now stands at 68.1k. Jennifer Hudson's "If This Isn't Love" capped things off the published portion of the chart for Idol alums, moving 8.9k for a total of 41.9k. It debuted at #192 and was up 139% from the previous week.
