Season 5's Ace Young was announced as the new host of FOX Reality Channel's American Idol Extra. Joining him with hosting duties will be Good Morning LA co-host and FOX NFL Sunday weather girl Jillian Reynolds.
Now in its fourth season, AI Extra will premiere on Thurs., March 26. There is no word on why Ace replaced former host J.D. Roberto, but many would consider this a upgrade.

I never watched this show before. But I'll be glued to every episode this year. So, yeah, I guess I consider Ace Young an upgrade.
He'll do great. He understands what the contestants will go through.
Ace will be an awesome co-host. He is charming and personable and will know how to put the contestants at ease. This was a great casting choice in my opinion.
What a great choice! Ace has been there, done that... he will give a 'real' insight to it all, and he's easy to talk to, and GREAT to look at! Good choice!
