'Idol' BB 200: 'David Cook' #18 (1/17/09)

There was zero positive movement in terms of actual sales among albums by Idol alums on the Billboard Top 200 for the week of Jan. 17.

David Cook kicked things off with his self-titled album falling #16-18 with an additional 19.4k copies sold. It was down 37% from the previous week and his sold a total of 861.7k since its release. David Archuleta's David Archuleta finished many spots behind at #62, down from #51, or 41% from the previous week, Its 8.3k copies for the week puts its total at 588.6k.

Carrie Underwood's Carnival Ride was next with 7.4k copies sold, down 25% from the previous week. Its six-spot rise to #68 means it now stands at 2.601 million. David Foster's Hit Man CD/DVD combo followed, posting a 15-spot jump to #81 with 6.6k copies for a total of 125.9k. It declined 15% in weekly sales.

Jennifer Hudson by Jennifer Hudson dipped #89-92 thanks to a decrease in sales of 33%, as its 5.6k copies puts its total at 560.8k. Daughtry's Daughtry rose #110-104 thanks to another 4.8k copies sold for the week, putting its total at 4.358 million copies sold. It dropped 26% from the previous week.

Kellie Pickler rounded out Idol representation on the Billboard 200, as her sophomore effort mustered 2.4k copies for the week, down 33%, for a total of 159.5k. It slipped one spot to #200.
