Digital sales roundup: "Crush" #22 (12/26/08)

An expanded Billboard Hot Digital Songs chart for the frenzied spending week brought back some old Idol classics with huge boosts seen all around.

David Archuleta once again led all Idol-related tracks with "Crush," which saw its second largest sales week next to its debut week. "Crush" was up #39-22, or 315%, with 128.2k downloads for a total of 1.305 million.

David Cook's first of two tracks on the chart was "Light On," which sold 82.5k downloads along with a four-spot increase to #42. Its 206% rise in sales puts its total at 428.9k. His second song on the chart was "The Time of My Life," which bounced back onto the chart at #179 with 24k for a total of 1.045 million.

Carrie Underwood also had a few tracks on the chart, as "Just a Dream" led them all with 49.3k, up 327% from the previous week. It landed at #80, up 46 spots for a total of 516k. Her second song to make the chart was "All-American Girl," which rocketed back onto the chart at #120 with 33.3k downloads sold for a total of 884.3k. And finally, a blast from the past in the form of "Before He Cheats" re-entered the chart at #178 with 24k for a mammoth total of 2.572 million.

Jordin Sparks followed with "No Air," which was up 248% in sales to 46.6k as it rose #104-85. It now totals 2.677 million (ahead of BHC if you can believe it). Jordin's second chart entry was "One Step At a Time," which was up #141-97 with 41.2k downloads for a total of 1.085 million.
