Upon hearing the news that an obsessed fan of Paula Abdul's named Paula Goodspeed committed suicide just blocks away from the judge's house on Tuesday night, Carrie Underwood and Diana DeGarmo offered condolences to the family of the fan. The only comment out of Abdul's camp was that she was "shocked and saddened" to hear of the suicide.
