'Idol' BB 200: 'Jennifer Hudson' #16 (11/22/08)

In the final week before David Archuleta's debut album sweeps the nation, Jennifer Hudson's debut album led all Idol-related albums on the Billboard Top 200 album chart for the chart week of Nov. 22 for what may be the last time it holds that honor. Jennifer Hudson slipped two spots to #16 thanks to a 17% decline in sales for the week. It sold an additional 26.3k copies, which puts its total take at 413.1k copies.

Carrie Underwood's Carnival Ride was next, selling 11.7k copies, or a 7% jump in sales, but remained at #49. Next week should see another sales increase thanks to the CMA Awards, as her total of 2.411 million copies will be even more substantial. Kellie Pickler's sophomore effort continued its downward spiral, falling 12 spots to #90 with a 13% sales decrease. It sold 6k copies for the week and now has a total of 92.1k copies.

Daughtry's debut saw a 10% sales increase for the week, which explains its #102-94 advance on the chart. Its total now stands at 4.274 million after factoring in the 5.7k copies it took in for the week. And once again rounding out the chart entries by Idol alums is Jordin Sparks' Jordin Sparks, which slipped eight spots to #154 as a result of minuscule 1% sales decline. It sold 3.7k copies for the week, placing its current total at 949k.
