Digital sales roundup: "Crush" #19 (11/22/08)

The Billboard Hot Digital Songs chart saw an influx in tracks by David Cook this week as a result of the release of his self-titled album, but none were able to overthrow reigning champ among Idol alums, "Crush." The David Archuleta single dropped 36% to 45.8k for the week, moving back five spots #19. Its total has finally passed the million mark, standing at 1.038 million.

Next up was Carrie Underwood's "Just a Dream," which fell #30-48 post-CMAs, marred by a 42% sales dip to 22.2k downloads. It now has a total of 407.6k and should find its way to gold status just after the new year.

The rest of the chart belonged to Cook in terms of Idol representation, as three new tracks joined "Light On," which surprisingly took 27 steps backward to #98 by falling 47% in sales to 11.3k. The total now sits at 258.7k and most likely not reach gold status anytime soon (if at all).

Cook's highest-selling track for the week was "Declaration," which debuted at #75 with 16.2k downloads. He also saw "Permanent" (#122, 8.9k) and "Come Back to Me" (#148, 7.5k) debut.
