HITS estimates: Cook 283.4k, Arch 62.9k

In its first week on the chart, David Cook's self-titled album will enter at #3 on the chart if HITS Daily Double's estimates from its building album sales chart hold.

David Cook is predicted to have taken in 283.4k copies, roughly 37k copies short of Nickelback's latest album Dark Horse. This number is a bit below HITS' own early predictions, which were at 300k as of Friday, but are significantly higher than IDOL LIVE's prediction of 236k.

In its second week on the chart, David Archuleta's debut album placed at #11, taking in another 62.9k copies following a hefty 65% drop. If the numbers hold, the album has taken in nearly 250k copies in two weeks.

Jennifer Hudson's self-titled album fell to #46 with another 20.9k copies, rounding out all Idol-related entries on the chart.

Finalized figures from Billboard should be out by Friday at the latest due to the Thanksgiving holiday.
